The Garden at Butley Cottage

The garden is on high ground to the north of the property. During the lifetime of John Roylance (1770-1850), it extended as far as the gate to "Newlands" at the corner of New Road and Bridge End Drive. There was a retaining wall along the eastern side which is still there.

A statue brought in from Staffordshire stands at one end. It is floodlit at night.
